By definition, listening goes with the territory of being a real a friend. I have a "friend"who I now just e-mail because when I called her she was rude and self absorbed. I know she was terribly busy and stressed out but can I really keep giving her breaks on her rude self centeredness? So now she e-mails me and we are e-mailing and its ALL ABOUT HER all the time. ugh. Its like she thinks she is more important than me. I should be beyond this, I am not a young kid. I can either 1. let her know 2. back off the "friendship" for a while or 3. drop a hint. I don't feel I want to cut it off totally, we used to live in the same city and are now long distance "friends". So it is not even someone I am in close contact with all the time. Either she has changed or I did not notice the self centeredness before, I think it is the first - she has changed. I know what you mean. By definition,

She never lets me finish anything i am telling her. It's soooo annoying! She does this to me everytime. It's always her her her...anyway thanx for letting me get that off my chest.
